These insurers may be possible for Spanish visa use but are not comparison-ready from public information. Verify the exact policy and certificate before buying.
MAPFRE is a major DGSFP-regulated Spanish insurer and its guidance says health insurance can be used for visa and residence requirements when issued correctly. However, no single comparison-ready visa product with a fixed visa tariff, certificate timing and maximum joining age is clearly shown in the public pages reviewed. Verify the exact policy in writing before purchasing.
Allianz Care is an international health insurance product and is generally not the right route for Spanish visa applications. Allianz Salud Spain is the domestic route and may be possible if issued with the correct conditions. Neither product shows a clear public visa tariff or certificate process in the way the specialist 6 do.
Caser Adapta (€46.95/mo) includes dental and repatriation — more bundled value than any other entry-level plan.
See Caser →Sanitas offers three plans, the widest network, an instant certificate, dental included, and a max joining age of 75.
See Sanitas →ASSSA's no-age-increase promise makes it especially worth considering once you're past 65 — premiums won't jump year on year.
See ASSSA →ASISA has the lowest published entry price (€42.88/mo) and Sanitas International Students is purpose-built for student visa holders.

Dental is not a consulate requirement. Repatriation is included by all six plans but is not always explicitly listed as a requirement at all consulates.
Sanitas and Caser are the most commonly used. Sanitas suits those wanting multiple plan tiers, the widest network, dental included, and an instant digital certificate. Caser is ideal if you want the lowest bundled price with dental and repatriation both included. For applicants over 65, ASSSA's no-age-increase policy is worth serious consideration. See our full comparison table for a side-by-side breakdown.
We review six that consistently provide the carta para visado accepted by consulates: Sanitas, Caser, Adeslas, DKV, ASISA, and ASSSA. Other DGSFP-regulated insurers may also be accepted depending on your consulate — always verify before purchasing.
No. Only Sanitas (all three plans) and Caser include dental as standard. Adeslas, DKV, ASISA, and ASSSA do not. Dental is not required by any consulate for a Spanish visa, but many applicants value having it included — particularly for longer stays.
